Canon has just announced two new lenses, a 24-70mm f/4L IS USM and a 35mm f/2 IS USM. While picture quality will likely be amazing from both of these lenses, they will have a less pronounced fit in the marketplace.

In an interesting move, Canon has brought 3 new lenses to market. While the anticipated 24-70mm f/2.8 II has been talked about for some time, the 24mm f/2.8 IS & 28mm f/2.8 IS were not.

Adobe has just announced a new version of its popular photo editing and organizing software, bringing with it some new features and functionality. Though some welcome tools would be beneficial, I don't see much that would warrant an upgrade for those already using Elements 9. However for those looking to take photos to the next level, adding artwork, effects, text, or just to organize large photo libraries, Adobe Premiere Elements is a great tool.

Nikon has just thrown itself into the ring of mirrorless cameras with the Nikon V1 & J1 complimented by several lenses and other accessories. Both cameras have a 10MP sensor, a bit low for today's standards, 10fps shooting, 1080p video with high speed modes at reduced resolution, and a new high quality AF system.

The new S100 features Canon's new Digic 5 Sensor combined with a 12MP upgrade with a wider 24mm lens, increased zoom range, built in GPS, and more. Stay tuned for more information.
