Taking the NX1 and a new NX to Canon adapter was not quite the perfect experience I was hoping for. Check out the issues that came up as well the details on the adapter. The adapter itself is available for sale at Amazon if you would like to pick one up.

Updated: Thanks to my awesome subscribers for showing me how to enable focus peaking while shooting video. 
You have to make sure that your display is set to show all settings (mine was not) while in photo mode. Once you do this, when you start recording or pop into movie preview mode, there will be an option on the touch screen display (left side) to enable focus peaking. If you do not have the camera set to display all information on the screen, this button will not show up. Here is a video tutorial on how to use focus peaking on the NX1. Thanks for showing me this!
